The Season of Creation is the annual Christian celebration of prayer and action for our common home. In celebrating the season, we walk with the global Catholic community and our ecumenical family around the world to care for our common home, the Oikos of God. The Season “Celebration” begins September 1, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, and ends October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology beloved by many Christian denominations. Throughout the season, we’ll offer daily prayers, reflections and opportunities for action. We’ll dig deep into our faith and Passionist charism and come away feeling refreshed in our unity and our love for each other and the Creator.
