Today we finish our Season of Creation celebration on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Fr. Pat Brennan, C.P. and his dog Rosie share a blessing of the pets. “The prophets still speak.” This Sunday’s readings call us out of complacency. Fr. Phillip Donlan, CP’s homily connects Amos’ warning and the parable of the rich man and Lazarus to today’s ecological and social crises, urging ecological conversion and solidarity with the poor and creation. Today, the cries of the poor and the cries of creation are one.
